The World Youth Group is the world's largest national, elected, youth leader consortium, comprising of Head’s of national student union/organization, Head of the ruling and opposition youth political party, and youngest member of Parliament/Congress.

Our mission is to Educate, Encourage, and Engage the global youth in social and political activism. We believe that by empowering young leaders, we can deepen the movement for a more sustainable, equal, and peaceful world.

WE ARE

The World Youth Group (WYG) is dedicated to developing policies for youth development and empowerment, while strengthening youth participation in the socio-political sector within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). WYG works to shape global policies through UN resolutions and supports the formulation of national strategies, particularly those affecting young people.

The organization fosters a generation of informed and ambitious young changemakers committed to building a better future. Flagship initiatives such as the Diplomatic Forum, advocacy for UN Resolutions, International Sports Week (ISW), and Climate Education exemplify our mission and impact.

Unity

We are elected representatives from different countries sharing different values, but our core issues have no boundaries. United, we can find solutions.

Global Policy

We come from different political, cultural and national backgrounds, however, in here, we share ideas and initiatives to build policies that are universally acceptable.

Youth

The youth, in our demographic description; between 21 years to 35 years of age, is 24% of the world's total population. We will encourage and engage youth to be active in social and political sectors.

United Nations

We work closely with the UN realm as our Advisory Board comprising of Permanent Representatives of the UN Member States are our guide and strength. Our policies have their participation and recommendations.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF EDUCATION

The World Youth Group stands firmly in its commitments to promoting the United Nations General Assembly Resolution adopted on 3 December 2018 by the General Assembly proclaiming 24 January as “International Day of Education”. 

The World Youth Group (formerly Collegiate Congress Inc.), in exclusive collaboration with the Nigerian Mission to the United Nations, was the principal contributor and co-proposer of the resolution that led to the recognition of January 24 as the International Day of Education in 2019.

The World Youth Group’s fundamental objective is youth development and betterment within the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with SDG 3 on Health and Well-being as our top priority. We are the primary advocate and contributor to the International Sports Week resolution, which seeks to observe April 5th to 9th as International Sports Week. This initiative encourages governments to invest in sports, physical activity, and recreational programs.

The leadership of the distinguished Mission of Angola to the UN has been pivotal in driving this resolution forward, with strong support from the distinguished Missions of; Dominica, Jamaica, Kenya, Liberia, Philippines, Qatar, Serbia, St. Kitts & Nevis, and Timor-Leste.
